What’s New At Winter Park Resort

The 80th ski season is right around the corner at Winter Park Resort. From a new chairlift and Firework & Family Nights, to new Passholder perks; here’s your guide to what’s new this season.

Sunnyside Chair

We’ve made accessing some of Winter Park’s most iconic skiing easier than ever before with the new six person high-speed chair. The Mary Jane side is full of favorites including Trestle, Columbine, and Sleeper, all of which can now be lapped even more with the new Sunnyside Chairlift. Plus get to Lunch Rock in half the time! With a previous ride time of eight minutes, the new 3.8 minute ride will improve access to everything from Mary Jane classics to Parsenn Bowl favorites, all while minimizing time spent waiting to ride.

So, whether it’s skiing down the hill or climbing up it. Floating across the snow on skis or gliding behind a team of dogs. Winter Park has it all. Explore all the ways to venture out this winter at the exciting new Venture Out Fest, presented by The North Face.

Winter Park Firework & Family Fest

The mountains are aglow, and this time it’s not just the stars! Cozy up around a bonfire, with a magical free fireworks display overhead and snow falling lightly while live music fills the air. Grab a cup of hot cocoa and roast marshmallows by the fire with the s’mores bar. Experience the magic of Winter Park Resort during these special nights on December 14th, January 18th, February 15th, and March 14th.

Mascot Parade

Winter Park Willie is getting a new friend, but that’s not the most exciting news. Every Saturday this season kiddos in Ski School will have the chance to parade through the Winter Park Village with the new mascot to strut their stuff and celebrate their new skills. Even with a new mascot, the little shredders at Winter Park will be the star of the show. With face painting, live music, hot chocolate, and a mascot parade, kids will be begging to hit the slopes this season.

80th Anniversary Cheers & Beers

Birthdays are a time to celebrate, and ours is no exception! Winter Park is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a party complete with a concert, craft beer tasting, and of course, a birthday cake. This ticketed event is sure to sell out fast as longtime Winter Park skiers will want to celebrate the mountain they call home, and new skiers will want to celebrate their new home mountain. Stay tuned for more details!
