Mountaintop Apres

Après with a view! Every Thursday through Saturday enjoy local and regional musical acts while soaking in the sunset over Byers Peak. St. Patrick’s Day

Green is the scene at the Winter Park St. Patrick’s Day celebration, beginning at 1 pm in the Village. Celebrate the holiday by shredding the mountain, then coming to the base to enjoy a green beer and delicious food while listening to live Irish music. Be sure to check out the crafts, photo ops and other activities on this fun spring afternoon! 

Explore the Village

The Village has an exciting selection of shops and eateries. Try breakfast at Goodies Creperie for a delicious start to the day before perusing the variety of shops at the base. Be sure to stop by James and Parry’s to add to your mountain fashion, grab a souvenir or find an authentically Coloradan gift take home. If you’re looking for gear and hardgoods, pop into West Portal Outfitters, Showcase Snowboards or the Burton Store to get the latest and greatest goods for all your snowy adventures. When you’ve worked up an appetite shopping, cruise over to Doc’s for innovative takes on classic comfort food and BBQ as well as an outdoor seating area that’s great for those sunny spring afternoons. You can also grab a spot on the patios at either Rippy’s Mountain Tavern or Vertical to soak up the spring sunshine.

Camp Idlewild

Give the kids their own night out so the adults can have one too! Camp Idlewild is a great opportunity for kids to Venture Out and create their own Spring Break memories. Kids between the ages of 6 and 12 will have the chance to explore the snowy woods near Hill House before making their way inside for arts and crafts followed by pizza and a movie. Make your way to dinner in the village or Sunspot Après while the kids make new friends and enjoy an evening of their own.   

Camp Idlewild is a great getaway for kids to have their own night out.

Spring Bash and Splash: Come out for a party on spring snow! Live it up at Bluegrass and Beerfest where there will be live music and unlimited beer samples from over 30 local brewers!
