A follow-up on Hi Lonesome Express maintenance: the necessary part for the repair has arrived at the resort and our teams will begin working on install. We will update again when the install is complete.

In the meantime, Hi Lonesome terrain and trails will still be accessible for skiing and riding via the Super Gauge and Sunnyside Express lifts. We will provide an additional update when Hi Lonesome resumes spinning.

An update on Hi Lonesome Express maintenance: the current issue we’re seeing is related to a problem we encountered last year with vibration on the input shaft from the gear box. While we resolved the issue last season, it has recurred in a different manner this year. The shaft/gear assembly has been removed and is currently in Grand Junction with Leitner/Poma for disassembly so they can diagnose the root cause. It’s our understanding that Leitner/Poma has the necessary parts on hand to repair the gear/shaft assembly once they fully understand the issue. We will provide continued updates on the Hi Lonesome Express as soon as we know more.

In the meantime, Hi Lonesome terrain and trails will still be accessible for skiing and riding via the Super Gauge and Sunnyside Express lifts. We will provide an additional update when Hi Lonesome resumes spinning.
