Lessons
Whether you’re with a group or a solo traveler, the Winter Park Ski and Ride School has your back. Take a lesson with a private instructor for some one-on-one learning, join a group lesson to with some like-minded adventurers, or try one of our specialty clinics to hone a specific skill. Choose between whole and half-day lesson options to get the most out of your ski trip.
Renting skis for your lesson? Pre-book your lessons and rentals for a seamless experience to start your ski day. Simply pick up your gear at West Portal before meeting your instructor for a fun and exciting time out on the mountain.
Rentals & Gear
We’ve got great gear available for rent! Make the most of your time outside with high-quality hard goods available from all of the rental centers at the resort. Unique options, such as Burton’s “try before you buy”, make it that much easier to take gear home after a great day.

Safety First!
A day on the hill is guaranteed to be a good time, but it is important to keep a few safety tips in mind so that everyone on the hill has a great day. Be sure to brush up on the skier safety code and know what to expect in a high altitude winter environment.

Refuel
Playing in the mountains is hard, thankfully Winter Park has a number of superb dining options ready to help you refuel! Just a quick ride on the High Lonesome chair will take you to the iconic Lunch Rock Lodge atop the Mary Jane territory. Known to have some of the best food, and definitely the best views, Lunch Rock is the ideal spot for a midday break.
Take a quick break at a mountain lodge or kick the boots off for a true midday break back down in the Village. Whatever you and the crew choose to do we promise you’ll be energized and ready for more riding once the plates have been cleared.
Après
A day out on the mountain is best topped off with an evening of après. Few après scenes can compare to Sunspot Mountaintop Lodge, and with this season’s music lineup there isn’t a night you’ll want to miss!

Take the Train
There’s no better way to get to Winter Park than the Winter Park Express. Board the Amtrak train at Denver’s Union Station before soaking in the views. Regardless if you’re a Colorado local or a visitor flying into Denver International, the train will provide a new perspective while cruising through the Rockies. The new lounge car is the best seat in the house as floor to ceiling windows provide iconic views and inspire those mountain-themed daydreams.
