As you reach the summit, you gaze out over rows of never-ending mountaintops speckled with colorful wildflowers. You take a deep breath and rejoice, because this hike was one for the books! If this sounds right up your alley, then you might want to book a guided Cirque hike at Winter Park Resort!  

Adventure Info: The guided Cirque hike is perfect if you’re looking for a true Colorado high-country hike. After a scenic ride up The Gondola, you’ll take a short van ride to the trailhead where you’ll hike 3-7 miles depending on your ability level. This hike is labeled as Intermediate to Advanced with an elevation gain of 1,000 feet.  

Find Your Inner Adventurer With a Trestle Lesson 

Take a lesson and learn the ropes.

Maybe you’ve dabbled in the world of downhill mountain biking, or maybe it’s just something you’ve daydreamed about. Either way, a true adrenaline junkie can’t visit Winter Park Resort in the summer and not ride Trestle Bike Park! Taking a lesson is the best introduction to the world of mountain biking. Our instructors will teach you the basics, while ensuring you have a fun day of runs.  

Adventure Info: Trestle 100 is an intro to downhill lesson that will teach you best methods for bike control, braking, and cornering. This program will take you down the best green trails for your ability. Lessons are offered twice daily at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and last for 3 hours.

Explore The River With Whitewater Rafting 

Colorado is known for being one of the best whitewater destinations in the country. And that’s not just our opinion! TripSavvy ranked Colorado’s best whitewater destinations. The Colorado river is ranked number one and Clear Creek is number three on the list. Both of those rivers hold wickedly awesome class III and IV rapids and both are accessed near the town of Winter Park!  

Adventure Info: Whether you’re looking for an easy half-day, a vigorous full-day, or an all-out overnight adventure, MAD Adventures, based in Winter Park, has the trip for you. Meeting times and prices vary depending on the trip, but no matter which package you book, you’re guaranteed to be smiling all day long.  

Galavant Across Peaks With ATV Tours 

Ride the Divide in an ATV.

Exploring the Continental Divide is exciting but exploring it from the inside of an ATV is even better! With the Grand Adventures off-road ATV tour, you’ll cruise 15 miles up the historic Corona Pass road, topping out at 12,000 feet on the Continental Divide. Qualified guides will lead you through the Arapahoe National Forest on exhilarating terrain. You’ll have so much fun, you’ll have to remind yourself to look up and witness the panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains and Fraser Valley surrounding you. 

Adventure Info:  This tour takes 3 to 3.5 hours and leaves right from the town of Winter Park. You can choose a morning adventure, or take an afternoon lap as meeting times vary. Drivers must be 18 years old with a valid license, but passengers can be as young as 4 years old.

Snow Mountain Ranch and Devil’s Thumb Ranch both offer ziplining through mountainous terrain. Zip through 600 feet of forest, soar through treetops, or fly over meadows with your choice of three incredible zipline courses.  

Adventure Info: Snow Mountain Ranch offers the Forest Zip Line with 600 feet of zip line. Devil’s Thumb Ranch offers five lines with 1600 feet of excitement. Pricing and meeting times vary depending on the tour
