Snow Report March 21

It’s officially spring! The bluebird days and soft snow we’ve been enjoying this week have only boosted the excitement for an April full of spring-time fun. With four weekends of Spring Bash and Splash quickly approaching, and more snow in this weekend’s forecast, this spring at Winter Park is on track to be all time!

Ski:

Sun and blue skies have been the theme of the week, lending itself to some classic spring skiing. While losing layers and swapping out goggles for shades is always something we look forward to, spring isn’t quite here to stay. With up to 11” coming our way over the weekend, we could be looking at some late March powder days – no complaints here!

A great place to ride regardless of the weather or conditions, Mary Jane is a beloved place for those late season days out on the mountain. Best part is, we’ll be taking laps at the Jane all the way until May 12th!

Snow:

If you’ve been skiing Winter Park this season then you know just how good the snow has been. With well over a month of skiing and riding left, we’ve already received 281.5” of snow this season – a number that’s sure to increase over the next 3-4 days. We’ve got anywhere from 6-11” coming our way beginning tomorrow, with another storm already on the horizon for next weekend.

If you’ve got fresh tracks on your mind then read here! With snowfall arriving tomorrow night, Saturday morning should offer some fresh, soft snow underfoot before more snow rolls in during the day on Sunday. Sunday’s conditions will only continue to improve as the day progresses so plan on spending a full day out on the mountain!

Spring Bash and Splash:

The countdown is officially on – only one week until the first of four Spring Bash and Splash weekends is here! With everything from TheBigWonderful Beerfest and the second year of the Uphill Battle uphill race, to bluegrass tunes courtesy of The Lil Smokies, next weekend at Winter Park will be a springtime party you won’t want to miss.

Spring is the perfect time for a mountain getaway and with 60% off of April lift tickets when you book lodging, there’s never been a better time to use that PTO and come catch some sun out on the slopes!
