5’ of snow in January – no joke! While we’re sorry to see such a snowy month come to a close, we’ve got a good feeling about February. Thanks to the impressive accumulations we’ve seen over the past two weeks the snow is soft and the skiing is as dreamy as ever.
We’ve seen 18” stack up over the past week and the smiles are contagious! The snow has been soft, light, and deep, making for some truly memorable Colorado cold-smoke days.
This weekend will feature the best of both worlds with the sun and snow slated to make appearances. Come soak up the sun and work on that goggle tan on Saturday before clouds roll in to gift us with some fresh turns on Sunday. Storms should remain in the area, meaning snow in the forecast from Sunday through Tuesday. We’re expecting 2-4” by end of day Sunday with upwards of 5” on the ground by the time the skies clear.
Winter is in full swing and the snow is piling up faster than ever. With all of this great skiing only 90 miles from Denver International Airport, it might be time for that well-deserved ski trip you’ve been dreaming about! Fly into Denver and head to the mountains via car, train, or shuttle.

This weekend be sure to end your days of playing on the mountain with some live music and an après scene that epitomizes Colorado ski culture. Featuring performances this weekend by A-Mac, Tara Rose, and Wendy Woo, Mountaintop Après at Sunspot Mountaintop Lodge is the best way to end the day. Kick back, soak in the views, and start the night off right with some music on the mountain.
