Snow Report January 24

Snow, pow, heaven…. Whatever you call it, we’ve got it! Thanks to some steady storm-activity we’ve been hit hard with over 27” in the last week. We’ve had day after day of steady snowfall and things are set up perfectly for another powder-filled weekend. Fresh on top and soft below, conditions are a dream right now so come find your stashes and get those face shots! Celebrate the snow with a limited time offer on lodging so you can get those first tracks all week!

Snow:

9”, 6”, 8” – we’ve been waking up to some impressive numbers on the snow stake this past week. Looking ahead to the weekend, we’re hoping for an additional 8” to pile up for us over the next 5 days. All of this fresh snow has helped soften things up resort-wide, while also continuing to deepen those favorite pow stashes of yours!

While over 2 feet in the last week has gotten everyone’s spirits singing, it’s the quality of the snow that is worthwhile to note. Colder temperatures over the past few days have allowed this snow to fall light and dry – meaning ideal powder conditions for a day spent on the mountain.

Shred:

The territories at Winter Park are what make this place so unique. With terrain for every type of rider, check out the suggestions below for some weekend runs!

Winter Park: Take The Gondola to the top before ducking into the Outrigger trees for some dreamy tree skiing. Connecting you back to Cranmer, this run combines sensational tree skiing with an all-time classic groomer.

Mary Jane: Take the Challenger chair to access some of the most memorable skiing on the entire mountain. Choose from a variety of black diamonds sure to put those legs and ego to the test!

Vasquez Ridge: Get away from the crowds and find your slice of solitude in the Vasquez Ridge territory. From remote tree runs to mellow bumps, Vasquez is well worth exploring. Check out Gambler on a deep snow day or the trees atop Stagecoach for a challenge in the glades.

Parsenn Bowl: Wind your way down from the top via Parry’s Peak or ski the bowl for the opportunity to get those face shots you’ve been dreaming of. Larkspur, Sky Pilot, Fireberry Glade, and Lupin are all waiting for you to choose your line.

Eagle Wind: A tree-skier’s dream, Eagle Wind is well known for its deep snow and challenging lines. Little Raven, Medicine Man, and Black Coal – to name a few – are all well worth a run after some fresh snow.
