Snowstorms Incoming: Snow Report January 23

15 inches of snow has accumulated over the last seven days, bringing January’s total snowfall at Winter Park to over 4 feet! A new storm cycle is arriving so expect fresh snow to go along with a series of fun weekend events.

While Winter Park has enjoyed plenty of recent sunny days, the rays have been interspersed with new snow as well. 15 inches of freshies have maintained the quality of turns all over the mountain. Precipitation will pick up in the coming days as a series of systems roll through the Rockies. Don’t be surprised to see flakes on Saturday and then again on Monday. In all, as many as seven more inches of freshies could stack up by the end of the weekend. The snowy pattern will then continue throughout the workweek, so you can look forward to powdery turns in the upcoming days.

Where to Ski and Ride

The snow is ready to be carved on Mary Jane side, where runs like Riflesight Notch and Belmar Bowl offer a delightful challenge. If you’re looking for an even greater test of your abilities, head over to Belle Fourche where you’ll face abundant powder and tight trees! Prefer to cruise more mellow slopes? Stick around the Winter Park side where both March Hare and Jabberwocky are smooth, soft and skiing great.
