The snow is back and in a big way! We woke up to find 5” on the ground and we’ve got another 5-10” coming just in time for the weekend. The next few days will be full of freshies, and the best news? It’s a holiday weekend! More snow and more skiing, that’s a tough combination to beat.
Ahhhh, how good it feels to be blessed with pow days again! With a fresh 5” coat and much more to come over the next 36 hours you’ll be knee deep in your favorite stashes before you know it.
The forecast for the next few days shows heavy snow (upwards of 10” is possible) to fall late Thursday night before tapering off through Friday evening. Temperatures will drop on Friday night and with a slight northwest wind we just might see some additional inches stack up before that Saturday first chair.
Where to even begin? Fresh snow makes good runs great and great runs legendary, and Winter Park sure has a number of great runs. With three days of dream-like skiing coming your way (condolences if you have to work!) you’ll have time to ski it all. From trees and steeps to groomers and bumps, all of your favorite runs will remind you just why you fell in love with them in the first place.
Sure, you could just ski what you know all weekend. There’s something to be said for the tried and true. But you’ve got an extra day off of work and some fresh snow to find, perfect time to pull out the trail map and get your explorer on. The season is still young so get out and spend some time seeking out that next stash spot, you never know where it might be!
