Snow Report February 7

Hello, February! We’re one week into the month and we’re already swimming in snow. This past week has seen well over 15” land on the mountain and the skiing couldn’t be better. Everyone loves powder and few things beat knowing that there’s plenty waiting for you! No matter your riding style you’ll be having a ball this weekend – fresh snow on the ground and sun in the sky is something we can all get behind!

Conditions:

What’s better than a good day on the slopes? Well, nothing… except a great day! Powder makes great days and thanks to the 12” in 8 hours on Wednesday we’ve got loads of it. Snow on Wednesday and Thursday paired with cooler temperatures ensures prime snow conditions for the riding this weekend.

While there will still be plenty of pow stashes to track down, the cold snowy days will turn to clear and sunny ones for your weekend in the mountains. Things couldn’t have lined up better for your weekend at Winter Park!

Ski:

For the family: Soak in the stunning views of Winter Park with a Gondola ride to the top of the Winter Park territory before working your way to the Olympia and High Lonesome lifts for family friendly skiing. Ski the High Lonesome trees to get into some deeper snow while feeling the thrill of glade skiing!

For the couple: Whether you’re a couple of crushers or a pair of rookies in the snow, there are endless ways to make your date to Winter Park one to remember. Head over to Vasquez Ridge for a day of skiing in solitude or venture up to Parsenn Bowl for views that’ll be sure to impress. With 7 territories to choose from you and yours will have that romantic ski date, or that hardcore send session, you’ve been planning together.

For the solo traveler: Sometimes you just need some time for yourself. With no one to wait on, skiing alone can be one of the best ways to decompress. Ski where and what you want, exactly how you want, and you’ll quickly come to see exactly why solo skiing is something to be treasured. Grab a trail map, go where the breeze takes you, and make your day out on the snow precisely what you want it to be. Besides, skiing solo means more opportunities to make friends on the lift!
