Snow Report February 21

The month that won’t quit!

February continues its snow streak with another 15.5 inches in the last week. That puts us at over 4 feet this month and 183 inches for the season! We should see at least one more storm hit before the month closes out.

There is powder EVERYWHERE. We’re seeing conditions worthy of “best day of the season” every few days.

With a 63 inch base, we still boast the deepest mid-mountain base in the state. After Monday’s refresh, we’re looking to enjoy a sunny Wednesday before the next storm hits on Thursday!

Where to Ride:

Skiing in the Cirque is great. HCR and C chute are now open. Explore great pillow lines in the 100’s in the Cirque.

In between storms look into the trees for the hidden powder. Frenchman trees and Riflesight trees are reportedly loaded with powder and providing ideal steep and deep tree skiing.

It’s also a great time to rip some Challenger moguls. Classics like Short Haul and Cannonball are skiing well.

Terrain Updates:

Ski Patrol has been working hard on the Jane chutes. Look for intermittent openings.

Event Updates:

Don’t miss Janeside Happy Hour, every day starting at 2:30. And this weekend is Wells Fargo Ski Cup! Check out the annual fundraiser for the National Sports Center for the Disabled.
