Winter is in full swing and the snow stake is showing 5 inches from the most recent storm. That means Shred-cember is here! With excellent snow, over 400 acres of open trails and a variety of excellent events like Cheers to 80 years, Venture Out Fest, and the Torchlight Parade, now is a great time to visit Winter Park.
Snow: After a fantastic and snowy November, Ullr has been resting somewhat for the last week. Although the forecasted storm on December 1 didn’t materialize, more snowy weather systems are incoming with snow predicted to fall during four of the next seven days. The first round is set to hit today and locals should expect to wake up to a few inches on Friday morning. That storm will likely be a warmup for the system arriving between Saturday and Monday. This healthy system could drop anywhere between 3 and 6 inches of freshies on the slopes, so be on the lookout for fluffy conditions and easy turns heading into the upcoming week. More terrain is expected to open as well, so take advantage of all the new trails to see and shred more of the mountain. Be sure to sign up for daily emails to receive the most up-to-date information on snowfall and conditions.
Ski and Ride: Drunken Frenchman, Sterling Way and Gandy Dancer are now on the menu for shredding. The Jane is certain to satisfy your need for speed, carved turns and moguls. The Winter Park side of the resort is coming to life with new trails opening as well, including Balch, Outrigger Trail and Bradley’s Bash. Plus, now two terrain parks, Re-railer and the Starter Park, are open and ready for you to try out those tricks.
