Snow Report April 4

Springtime in Colorado is a combination of sunny blue days and snow showers – both of which we’ve been able to enjoy this week. With more snow coming, and three more weekends of Spring Bash + Splash on the calendar, this month is the perfect time to hit the slopes before celebrating spring with friends and family!

Sun and snow – we’re in for both over the next week so check out our suggestions for where to ride depending on the weather for your day lapping the lifts.

Bluebird days:

  • It’s called the Sunnyside lift for a reason and with comfy beach chairs waiting for you at Lunch Rock lodge, Mary Jane is the place to be when the sun is out and the skies are clear. Whether you’re seeking out soft bumps or quick cruisers, runs ranging from Edelweis and Bluebell to Sleeper and Arrowhead Loop will have you skiing in the sun from open until close.

April pow:

  • We’re good for another few storm cycles here at Winter Park and you don’t want to be ill prepared when the flakes start falling. With over 2,300 acres still open to explore, you’re in for some awesome April pow days when you rip the following: Ski Outhouse for fresh tracks when you take the Gondola up first thing in the morning. Drop in off of Parsenn Bowl and hit Larkspur for wide open patches of pow. Ski the soft bumps of Bash, under the Eskimo chair, to show off your skills in the snow.

It’s coming! We’ve got another snow cycle headed our way in time for some fresh turns this weekend. The flakes will arrive later in the day on Saturday – hopefully reaching levels of up to 6”. Sunday will be dry and sunny – a perfect time to enjoy those soft turns – before we expect another round of snow showers to hit midweek. While the models are still being developed, early predictions are calling for anywhere between 3-8” by Thursday and another storm to bring more pow next weekend.

Spring Bash + Splash:
