Spring, Venture Out

Our Favorite Spring Ski Runs

There’s a reason why there’s just as much hype for spring skiing as there is for mid-winter skiing. The warmer weather, the soft snow, and the endless daylight hours… Being at Winter Park during March and April (and Mary Jane through May 16!) is a guaranteed good time. When it snows, it’s a day filled with powder stashes all around the resort. If it’s sunny, enjoy the slush runs and soak up the mountain sun with your friends and family. Either way, spring skiing and riding is our favorite time of the year. Find out our favorite spring ski runs below!

Cranmer

End the year the same place we started, taking a run to honor the father of Winter Park, George E. Cranmer. With the sun shining bright, you’ll get some of the softest turns at the resort. With easy access to enter and exit the mogul field on the right, this might be the time you give those bumps a try. (read our tips and tricks to ski & ride moguls before you go 😊).

Over n’ Underwood

Over n’ Underwood has everything you need for a marvelous spring day. This short intermediate run has the potential for some solid powder stashes near the trees. After, stop by Snoasis for a beer break. Here, you’re just steps from your next lap and you have the opportunity to watch some of the best skiers and riders throw big air in the terrain park.

Super Gauge Trail (Lift Line)

For all you experts out there, you’ve been skiing and riding all winter for this one moment. Time for the Hollywood lap. The bumps are soft, the stoke is high, and it’s time to hot dog your way down the mountain. Embrace the chirping as there will be a lot of it. Show them what you got!

Roundhouse

For the best views during the bluebird spring days, take a gander at Roundhouse. This mellow run lets you carve your way down this cruiser of a groomer while soaking in the awe-inspiring views of Parry Peak and the Continental Divide. Bonus, this run takes you down toward the Panoramic Express, where you can hop on the lift that takes you to the highest point at Winter Park, 12,060 feet!
