Winter Park is home to a vibrant music scene, from locals to headliners you can see it all after a day on the slopes. Great plates and refreshing drafts are waiting at your favorite mountain hangs, as well as appearances from a diverse group of talented artists – so stop by and catch a show, it’s the perfect way to après!
This season Winter Park Resort will feature acts in a variety of venues, including the lively base of Mary Jane, vista-filled views of Sunspot Mountaintop Lodge, front and center at Village Plaza, and more! While more acts will be scheduled as the season progresses, here is a sneak peek at some of the acts we’re excited to see here on the mountain.
Trout Steak Revival* – SOLD OUT
A true Colorado band, Trout Steak Revival has been a local favorite ever since winning the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition. Known for their unique combinations of folk, indie, bluegrass, and Americana, their expressive lyrics and heartfelt melodies have attracted a loyal and rapidly growing fan base. Recently, Trout Steak has won an Emmy Award for their work with a Rocky Mountain PBS, was named Denver’s Best Bluegrass Band by Westword newspaper, and was nominated as a Momentum Band of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association.

Weston Smith
Originally hailing from North Mississippi, Weston Smith’s musical career started in his early teens and has since included an album release and a number of accolades. Named the winner of the 2007 Northeast Mississippi Gumtree Art Festival Songwriter’s Showcase, Smith then went on to release his solo debut album, “Awake to Dream,” in 2008 at the age of 19. Now calling Colorado home, Weston Smith has lived around the country developing his craft along the way. His broad range of original music, and curated set lists of folk, blues, bluegrass, and country covers embodies his unique style and diverse sound. Pull up a chair and see Weston in action this season.

Zoe Berman
A singer-songwriter based in Fort Collins, Zoe Berman combines a number of genres to create her melodic sound. Drawing inspiration from jazz, blues, indie, and folk music, as well as the very world around her, Berman looks to create music that tells a story in her words. Catch Zoe’s performances throughout the season at Sunspot Mountaintop Lodge and the base of Mary Jane!

Andy Straus
Andy Straus is the leader of the Colorado-based band Hunker Down and is known for his contagious energy and vibrant music. Rooted in the genres of bluegrass, folk, blues, and country his songs speak to the lifestyle shared by many living in mountain towns. Combining a set list of originals with well-known classics, his repertoire is rich and layered, while full of the energy he is known so well for. Drawing his inspiration from the natural world around us, this performance will resonate deeply with all of those who call the mountains their home or their escape.

El Javi
Combining the distinct sounds of flamenco and rock, El Javi has created his own genre and musical experience. Hailing from Mexico City, El Javi draws inspiration from the human story as well as his life as an artist. An authentic pairing of sounds and cultures from different corners of the world, El Javi’s music is sure to both entertain and inspire.

Haley Gowland
A graduate of Connecticut College, Hayley Gowland has since gone on to compose, teach, record, and song write – all of which have garnered attention and praise. Her projects have included recording multiple albums with the rock band The Cranks and scoring soundtracks for films. Having performed solo and in groups, Haley’s acoustic repertoire includes Weezer, Jack Johnson, Sylvann Esso, Fleetwood Mac, and more. Join us at the Sunspot Mountaintop Lodge on February 16th to see Haley in her element.
