Powder has been piling up since December 25 and will continue on and off through early next week. This weekend will bring sunshine but the potential for some additional snow will linger through Monday, keeping the slopes refreshed. Conditions this weekend will be some of the best yet this season thanks to the recent snowfall. The mountain has 129% of the average season snowfall to date, so don’t miss the fantastic early January conditions. Ullr has been good to us this season and here’s to the trend continuing in 2020.
Ski and Ride
The recent openings of Eagle Wind and the Halfpipe means even more skiable terrain and plenty of opportunities to try something new. Terrain off the Panoramic, Eagle Wind and Challenger lifts is skiing well. For some serious shredding, hit Medicine Man or Little Raven. For a more intermediate run, try Lonesome Whistle. Wondering where those trails are? Check out the trail map here. Wherever you find yourself taking turns, the snow will be soft and fresh. If you are tempted to take a few more days away from the office and continue your holidays, this is the week to do so! Stay slopeside for easy access to all the freshies. Lock in your stay for 2020 this week and save 20%.
Come meet Parry, the avalanche-safety mascot, every Saturday from 3:30-5:00 pm. Join Parry and friends from Ski and Ride School as they parade through the Winter Park Village. Beginning at 3 pm, dance along to family-friendly music at the gazebo as the DJ welcomes Parry and the parade to the party. A face painter and other entertainment will join us each week, and free hot chocolate will be available while supplies last.
