Snow Report December 13

Welcome, everyone, to this week’s snow report! We’re two weeks into the month and December is in full swing.

Enough of the small talk though, we’ve got some super exciting terrain openings to share with you! Another weekend means another territory and this weekend will be double the fun with both Eagle Wind and Parsenn Bowl open for business! Featuring some of the resort’s most unique and memorable riding, these territories will be fueling your stoke all weekend long.

Conditions:

This place is seriously getting better by the day and the 14” we’ve received in the last week has sure helped! Parsenn Bowl and Eagle Wind alike will both be skiing tremendously this weekend as untracked snow and sunny days are both in the forecast. Looking ahead, we can hope to expect some notable snowfall towards the end of next week and even more so around the holidays – perfect for getting into that festive mood.

The forecast for the weekend looks perfect for a good time out on the slopes. Bluebird skies and crisp temperatures will mean the snow will hold up well to all of your slashes and carves! With clear skies and sunny days ahead, we couldn’t be more excited for soaking in the unbelievable views atop Parsenn Bowl before ripping down it.

Where to Ride:

New terrain means new reasons to come out and ride. With over 450 new acres open to you this weekend, you’ll have your hands full with exploring! In addition to the bowl and Eagle Wind, opportunities for off-piste riding will be expanded tomorrow with acreage growing in both the Winter Park and Mary Jane parts of the mountain.

With the Panoramic Express and Eagle Wind lifts both running tomorrow, we suggest getting up and getting out as fast as you can to ensure those fresh tracks and maybe even a first chair! Some noteworthy runs in the bowl include Forever Eva, Larkspur, and Juniper as the snow is deep and endless lines are waiting for your choosing. Ski Patrol suggests Medicine Man and Little Raven in Eagle Wind for some steep and deep fun in the trees – you’ll want to take their word for it.

For the Calendar:

If you plan on joining us for some turns tomorrow, be sure to stop by and stretch out at Snowga in the Village. It’s the best way to end a day of charging and refuel for a weekend of sending. If you’re in the market for a new board, swing through the Burton shop in the Village to demo their “Step-On” system – an innovative technology making waves in the industry. Demos will only be available on Saturday so plan ahead!

With the holidays as close as they are the feeling of excitement is buzzing in the air. An annual highlight, the Torchlight Parade is the perfect way to welcome Christmas and celebrate the holiday season with friends, family, and the Winter Park community. With things planned all day on Christmas Eve, check out the event listing for more details – we hope to see you there!
